Forms text problems

I am trying to create a form in Word 2007.
This is a type of form I have used in Word 2000 and 2003 with no problems
but now Word 2007 is not behaving in the expected fashion.
The rich text or text content control allows for carriage returns for
multi-paragraph entries.
However no matter how I set the style the second paragraph text is always
grey instead of the automatic/black text of the first paragraph.
It is moronic for the default setting to change the font style from the
first paragraph to the second but this being Office 2007 with the worst user
interface ever conceived nothing else need be said.
In any event how do you ensure that the second or third paragraph entered
using this form control will have the same font styling as the first
paragraph?

Change the "Style for following paragraph" setting for the style initially
applied to the content control. Does that help?

Another thing to consider: If you are using the form fields of previous
versions, the KB article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828501/en-us
("Incorrect font is applied after a style is applied to a form field in Word
2007 or in Word 2003") might be useful.

It sounds like you applied the style to the content control. Use the
Properties dialog box (found on the Developer tab) and associate your style
with the contents of the control instead.

The difference between the two is when you apply a style to the content
control you're applying the style to the paragraph that "contains" the
content control and the style for the following paragraph will be used when
you press Enter. It's the same as applying a style to a paragraph in a
document. When you use the Properties method then the style will be applied
to the content (paragraphs) that haven't been added to the document. IOW,
the property provides the ability to 'preformat' the control's content.
