I am a new user to Project and trying to get some answers on how? On the
custom views, is there a good location for information on examples on how to
formulate the formulas to help fill in some some of the information or text
locations at a summarized level.

I don't think there is any list of examples for this, but if you post what
you want here someone will certainly give an answer.

What I am trying to do is on a master schedule or projected with inserted
projects, I am trying to take the input for one of the sales, let say that it
is a building number. Depending on that building number, I am trying to get
other cells to fill in such as address, phone number, etc. into other cells.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The first question is why is this important in your project schedule?
It is certainly possible. I wonder why though
