Found some clipart that are wmf images but i can t preview them

i did an online search for some clipart and found some wmf images
which i cant preview or use. What are they and how can they be
previewed.

WMF's can used by access either as icons, graphics, or bitmaps and as they
are normally used by office and other Microsoft programmes to tranfer
(bitmaps and vectors) most windows software will open them.

The standard programme used to edit WMF's (by non-graphics programme users -
Corel - Adobe - etc) is Powerpoint which most office users will have

Just one question if you can't preview them how would you know that you want
them. Just a thought
