Frontpage breaks jscript

C

Coolwater

I was given an html page that has javascript in it that did some calculatons.
I loaded it on my web site and it worked great.
I made a copy to a new page and copied the copied page to the server.
The new page does not work. I did not edit it with front page.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Something is different between the published page that worked, and the new
that did not work. From your description, I don't know what.

You can lead a fish to a bicycle,
but it takes a very long time,
and the bicycle has to *want* to change.

FrontPage is somehow changing the page just by copying the file which is very
unsettling.
FrontPage was notorious for breaking code back in FP98. In previous versions
of FrontPage there was a setting where you could "preserve" original code. I
looked for that in 2003 and couldn't find it. Do you know if there is a
similar setting?

There is no setting in FP2003, the settings from prior versions is not the default.

You need to provide a URL to the page in question or paste the page source into a post back here.

Can you tell us what is different? What changed? If you can post the HTML
from the 2 versions, I think we can help.
