frontpage2002 not able to do office SP3

[Help !!]

I have been having problems uploading my website.

I have reinstalled frontpage2002 and tried to get the updates but it does
not allow me to install Office SP3

I have tried to change the registry entries as shown on the Microsoft site
but these do not exist.

I have installed the software afresh and tried to upload my website but it
does not complete. the upload stays up but does not finish the last file.

the file it tries is not an issue, I can upload them one at a time by right
clicking them and publish the selected files.
but using the publish button causes FrontPage to stop uploading files. and
times out after ages.

I have tried to reinstall it and removed it completely and then installed it
fresh but still I can not upload.

can anyone suggest something that can fix this.

Why are you trying to install Office 2003 updates to FP 2002?
- unless you are also running other Office 2003 programs
The update is not applicable to FP 2002 and your publishing problem

Publishing problems are usually not related to your client software so reinstalling FP 2002 on your PC does not solve the problem

It is usually a server related problem
Try opening your online site in FP and Running a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
Then clean out the FP cached files that may be corrupt
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Try to publish All and if you get another error ask your host for the server log events related to the error

sorry that was a typo, I meant frontpage2003.

I have given up trying to get updates for the moment just want to get the
site uploaded.

I have done what you suggested and it worked once. but now I am trying to
upload the same site with a slight change to some pages and the same
problems is there.

I have done the same as your suggested and tried to upload and still it does
not work.

Just want to be sure I understand that step 1 and 2 are clearing the cached
files.

when I upload FrontPage just hangs with the dialog box showing the file it
is uploading but does not change.
it is still there now, been there for over 20 minutes now.

what else can be wrong?

You need to have your host check the server logs for info in what error is occurring

[Help !!]

I have spoken to them and have been told that there is nothing wrong with
the server. they said to check if my internet connection is ok!!
internet is fine.

I have looked at my FrontPage logs and found this in the wecerr.txt file...

and this in the file frontpg.log, but I do not think I have sharepoint
services.
