Frozen File on Pub 2003

I was able to edit my file previously, and have never run into this problem
before. I opened my file, and was unable to edit it. All the tools are not
accessible. I have tried going to the properties- and it shows only as
archived.

Help...

It was not a trial version ..... but I did activate it- and that solved the
problem.
