Full-file administration update still asks for CD

E

EK

I tried to update my Office XP and it asked for my CD
which I couldn't locate. Further investtigation revealed
that I can do it with administration update, which I
tried. But, it still asks for the CD to find PROPLUS.MSI.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The updates for Office XP require that the MSI be in the
same 'location' as it was during the initial installation.
The administrative update would be used if you installed
Office from a server. If this is how your installation of
Office was deployed, the updates are applied to the
original MSI file, then deployed to the workstations.
