Funky tasks

Hello all - Sorry if this seems like a simple question,
but I've got a small, humble project with only 10 tasks.
However, there is a really weird thing happening.
One of the tasks starts on Friday, April 16, 2004,
and its duration is 1.5 days.
However, it also displays as ending on Friday, April 16, 2004...
the same day! No resources assigned to it either.
That task is linked to the previous task,
but I wonder...

....WHY is the duration 1.5 days, but the start and finish
dates are the very same?
-*-*-*- serious confusion -*-*-*- :p

I'm running Project 2000, Win2000. Any ideas,
solutions, insight, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated!

AHA! That was indeed the problem. Mucho thanks!
I had changed the default start and end times
myself at some point in time... and the change
apparently stuck with Project.
I guess this setting is global, then, not file-specific?

Hi Jeff,

Look at Tools, Options, Calendar
It has a button "Set as Default"
Hitting that makes the setting global (i.e. for each NEW project)
