I have a project in MS Project 2002 with 41 tasks, using 4 resources at 70%
to 80%. All tasks are fixed work. I did not link all tasks as some do not
have dependencies. I did link some as finish-to-finish. Earlier I had a
problem with leveling due to the fact that I had some summary tasks linked,
but I got rid of that problem with some help from some people on this
discussion group. Since then, I've applied Service Pack 1 and changed some
of the hours of work for some of the tasks and now I have a real mess! The
tasks where I changed the work appear correctly on the Gantt Chart, but are
duplicated on the Resource Usage chart with both the old and new hours and
have work assigned to both. Also, the dates for some tasks appear
differently on the Gantt Chart than what they do on Resource Usage. I have a
shared resource pool, but am the only person using it and currently am using
it for only one project. Any ideas?
