Gantt Chart Table

I have set up special START and FINISH symbols for the task bars in my Chart.
How do put these in the Gantt Chart Table and uniquely identify them? I
obviously missed a step somewhere because I have seen other Charts with
non-standard symbols and names.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking. If I understand, you
want to put the symbols from the Gantt Chart in the table adjacent to
the chart. Do you want to use the table as a legend? In any case, I'm
not aware of a way to do this.

You are correct. At the bottom of the chart is a table that lists things
such as milestone (diamond symbol), progress (solid line), etc. I have
changed the symbols in the Gantt Chart and want to put them in that table and
label them. I don't know how either.
