gbui message in office project 2003 startup

I have followed the trend on a similar problem brought to the forum in last
month but could not find a final solution.On first use of Office Project
2003, I get the message about attempts to access the gbui://mainpage.htm/
site which IE will not allow because the site is not registered or something.
I go to Options in IE and register the site but still no luck in getting the
Project software to run! It is not a trial version so I dont know if regedit
of 'first boot' is called for. Glad if anyone can help. Thanks
