getting rid of a default

Can't seem to erase info under a document, everytime you go to create a new
document the same info pops under doc 2, etc..Attempts made to save as my
documents, and then delete from there but this and everything else we have
done has been unsuccessful.

Janie,

It doesn't matter what version of Word you have, if you delete and/or open
and change the file "normal.dot" your problem will be fixed. What version
of Windows do you have? I will try and provide you a step-by-step to fix
your problem.

There is nothing in that article that is version specific except the
information on finding Normal.dot. The information given for Word 2000 also
applies to Word 2003.
