If any Microsoft folks are seeing this, please give us back our Index in
Help. I used to use that all the time and it was great!! Now it's gone and
I'm going in circles trying to get answers to questions!!!!!!!!! I am very
frustrated!

Bons,

Sorry - we aren't Microsoft employees. We are volunteers from the "Real
World". The index is gone and probably for good. I was a fan of the old Help
system - prior to using HTML Help. I liked that I could do a search for a
particular word but that too is gone for good. We all have to learn to work
with what we have. It forces us to be a bit more specific for what we need -
and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

If you have questions about Publisher, you can always ask here. It will help
us if you let us know which version of Publisher you are using. If you get
an error message, tell us exactly what it says. And please, ask one time
(not in all caps) and be patient. We will answer - sometimes we need a
moment to check our resources.

Now, have a cuppa tea and calm down. Life's too short to let a computer get
you all riled up. :)

Hi Bons ([email protected]),
in the newsgroups

In addition to JoAnn's response, we had a meeting in Redmond that covered
Office Help. The Office team is fully aware of the "help" issues and the
improvements that many newsgroup posters such as your self have been asking
for. There will not be any changes made with the current versions of Office,
but they do have it on the wish list for Office 12. "It" being improvements,
not necessarily "indexing".
