Graphics Don't Show Up on Homepage

Christena

I'm using Frontpage 2000 and have my website up and
running, however the other day I inserted new pictures
into my homepage and other pages throughout the site.
The other pages show the new graphics just fine, but my
homepage is not displaying them on other computers. How
do I fix this?

Hi Christena,

Images in web pages are not embedded. They are references to the locations
of the files that the browser inserts in the page at run-time. FrontPage can
be used with web sites as well as individual web pages. For example, you
might want to create a local HTML document that doesn't exist on a web
server. If you added an image to such a page, FrontPage would create a
file:// URL to the picture, so that it could be located on your HD. How does
FrontPage know that you're working with a web site rather than a local HTML
document? By your opening the web in FrontPage first. So, the first thing
you need to do when working on any page in a web site is to open the web
site in FrontPage. The second thing you need to do is to import your images
INTO the web site prior to inserting them. Why? Because if they are not in
the web, where should FrontPage indicate that they exist? Well, where it got
them from: your Hard Drive.
