Graphics & OLE only show in Reading Layout

Hi;

On my copy of Word 2003 at work it only displays graphics
(from jpg files) and OLE objects (Visio drawings) in
Reading Layout. If I go to Print Layout, all I get is a
box.

Any ideas?

What's the setting in Tools/OPtions/View for picture
placeholders?

Note: I've never seen anything like this, and I've been
workign with Word 2003 for almost two years.
