Graphics & Word wrap

I want to include a picture in a document, with the text wrapping round it.
I also want both text and picture to be on a coloured background.

I am using Word 97.

I can do this in later versions by putting the text in a table and inserting
the graphic. This doesn't work in 97.

The only way I can find of achieving what I want so far is to put the text &
picture in word document and draw a coloured text box over the top. However,
this is not ideal if I want to change the text within the document.

Is there another, better way of doing this?

Hello-

What you may want to try is putting the graphic on the Header/Footer 'layer'
of the doc (stacked on top of a filled rectangle) & using the appropriate
text wrapping feature to regulate text flow around the image. I can't
remember the exact choices in '97, but I believe either the Picture toolbar
and/or the Format Picture dialog box should offer several options.
