Grouping Objects in a Document

Three objects I want to group together, like in PowerPoint, so that they all
move and size together: an picture, a text box, and an AutoShape. Is this
possible in Word?

Provided they are all in the drawing layer, you should be able to group
them. Either marquee select or use Shift+click to select additional items,
then use the appropriate commands on the Drawing toolbar (Draw | Group) or
toolbar (there may be Group and Ungroup buttons).

Hi Phil,

Yes, you can group all three of those drawing objects
in Word as long as none of them are formatted to a layout
type of 'in line with text'.

With the objects on screen (and on the same Word page)
use the Select object (white arrow) icon on the Drawing toolbar
and hold down the ctrl key while clicking on each object you
want to be a part of the group, then select the Draw=>Group
button on the toolbar.

Note that you will still be able to add/edit text in
the text box while the items are grouped.
