halting

is there a way to be able to hold down a key in word and have it continue to
repeat that key until the key is released? Using word 2003 with latest
updates, I hold down a key and the action will stop. It must be restarted by
releasing and then depressing the key until it stops again, then repeated
etc, etc.
This halting is also happening on my Nvidia GeForce 6600 256 MB video card

Nothing to do with Word. Have a look at Control Panel > Keyboard and check
the settings.

Don't understand what you're getting at with keyboard halting in relation to
the video card.
