hate plain text

I had to 'reset to default' settings in outlook.

when I did, I began having to view my emails (from external sources only) in
plain text...

these used to be viewed in HTML or Rich Text... i have changed the settings
in Tools/options and restarted, but no luck fixing the problem. please
help....
