I have Microsoft publisher 2002. I can't open 2003 publisher files. Please
help/advise.

The good news is that 2003 and all future editions will be able to open
all Pub files, according to Brian.

Mike

That was starting with Pub 2002 rather, not 2003.

Publisher 2002 can open files from Publisher 2003 without any updating.

There are no free updates to any earlier version of Publisher to allow them
to read files from a later version of Publisher that have not been
downsaved.

huh?

Starting with Publisher 2002, MS went with a new format. Publisher 2002
files can be opened in Publisher 2003 and Publisher 12. Publisher 2002 can
also open Publisher 2003 and the current beta version of Pub12. It's a
single format for 3 versions now that doesn't require users to do a Save As
to an older version.
