having problems with right-to-left

M

Moose Johnston

So, I was working on a project on a shared computer at work, and two of the
girls that used the computer before me were Muslim. They saved the settings
in word in which the text reads right-to-left. I was took my flash drive
home and began working on my project on my home computer. Because of my
default settings on my version of Word 2007, I made a change in the line
spacing (which I really don't like the way it changes things) and it set my
default for every new document in the right-to-left format. I want to change
the default back to left-to-right, with my ruler reading 1-7 from left to
right instead of the other way around. I've looked through the tutorials,
used Microsoft Help, and asked friends, but none of them know how to do it.
It's getting frustrating because it appears as though I can't find the
answer. It shouldn't be this hard.

The Microsoft help says to go to "word options" and select on "view." Well,
there is no "view" on my "word options" menu. The only other thing I can
think to do is to uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 and reinstall it, but I do
not really want to do that at this time.

Please someone help.

Why NOT reinstall Word? It might be the quickest way to solve your problem.
