Having Read-only Problems

Hello. When I open a file that is already open by another user, I don't get
the usual "Open document in Read Only mode" dialog and the file just opens
like normal. But when I go to save any changes I make, Office will not let
me save it. This applies to all office documents. Any idea why this is
happening? I am the only user on the network that this happens to.
