Having trouble adding a photo to catalog merge?

I have read the training and watched the Demo. I am still having trouble
adding a photo. I go thru the steps, but it's still not sowing up on the
preview. Your help is appreciated. Thank you!

Mary it seems like you keep pointing everyone to the the knowledge base and
training, demos and assitance pages which most people have read and are still
having this problem. We have tried everything and it still does not work
someone at microsoft needs to look at this problem and find a solution. I am
trying to merge from Excel using catalog merge. all the data is merging fine
but the photos are not showing up. I have followed all the steps from the
link you sent double checked everything.

The articles can articulate a solution much better than I can.

If you plan to merge photos into your final publication, you will need to type
either the file name or path for each picture file that you want to use in the
appropriate column or data field for each record. Do one of the following :
If you plan to save your picture files and your data source in the same folder,
type the file name for the relevant picture. For example: firstphoto.jpg.
If the picture files will be located in a different folder from the data source,
type the path for the relevant picture. For example: C:\Documents and
Settings\Username\My Documents\My Pictures\Catalog Project\firstphoto.jpg.

In Publisher's catalog merge expand the pull-down to insert as a picture.

You can also use Word as a data source, might experiment...

Then perhaps they could state what they've tried, and we wouldn't suggest
it.
We have tried everything

Well, if you've tried EVERYTHING, then there's clearly not a solution, and
we are unable to suggest anything, as you'll already have tried it.

I may not be someone at Microsoft, but if you want to email me a copy of
your publication and your data source, I'll take a look at it and see if I
can tell you what the problem is.
