having two different versions of office on same computer

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I currently have office 2004 installed on my computer. I would like to upgrade to 2008 but I need the macros in Excel. Excel in 2008 has disable these macros. So is it possible to install office 2008 but also keep at least Excel from 2004 in order to run these macros?

Yes. You can run both at the same time.

Hi Dianne,

Thanks for the reply. I am concerned when I install the new version of Office(2008), it will overwrite the older version (2004). Is there something I need to do to prevent this?

It's a completely new folder. It does not touch the Office 2004 in
Applications. You will still need the Microsoft AutoUpdate app in
/Applications for 04 updates. The MAU is hidden for Office 2008.

Hope this helps!
