Help!: data displayed in a grid coming from a database query to sql server.

I need to displayed data on a grid coming from a sql
server query. And for the grid to populated upon display
without having to push a button like with a web browser.
I did get the web browser to work but I must click the
button to have it displayed. Help deadline looming
