ok, a family member of mine have sent me a downloadabla attachment, and i try
my best to download the file but as soon as i try, a little pop up box would
say"Do you want to open or save this file, so i click open,and it says
powerpoint cannot open the file because it is not a power point file.what
does it mean by that?

It probably means the file isn't a PowerPoint file, or it may mean the file
was corrupted in the email send process.

Oh, it could also mean you're using Outlook Express and you only have the
PPT Viewer, not PPT itself.

Oh! It might also mean your file associations are messed up.

What is the extension on the email attachment? If you choose to save it to
your hard drive, open PPT or the PPT Viewer, and then use File|Open to open
the file, does it work then?
