Help with text

Problem started about a week ago, I cannot enter text in word or outlook. Can cut and paste but programs will not accept inputs from keyboard. Keyboard works fine with all other programs.

Have you ran the Detect and Repair feature from the Help menu in Outlook and
Word? Have you also applied the latest Service Pack and Patches for your
version of Word and Outlook?

Yes I have run the detect and repair and also have downloaded latest patches, still not working...
