help with the "reading pane" in outlook 2003

i use a thinkpad t-23 laptop with a scrollbar which i use
frequently. for some reason, on many emails in outlook
2003, i can't scroll within the individual message.

any thoughts? thanks!

Do you have the latest drivers installed? Also make sure you've clicked in
the message to make sure the Reading Pane is active (it should work on
hoovering in the Reading Pane already but it's just to make sure)
