hoe can I clear editing marks in word 2007

Hi,
When I open a Word or Excel file that has been produced in Office 2003 with
my version of Office 2007 the page is covered in red boxes and editing and
crossed out text. I am sure this is a minor problem but I can't seem to get
rid of it. How can I have the file open without all the editing marks? I
just want to open it and view/edit as normal.

If you want to be rid of all the red marks forever, then go to the
Review tab, click the Accept Changes button, and choose Accept All
Changes.

To keep from getting more such things, turn off Track Changes.

To keep the tracked changes but not have them show, you have to burrow
deep into the Word Options but it's inadvisable; they made it hard to
do so you don't inadvertently send your editing to someone you don't
want to see it.

Hi,
Yes, I want to stop all tracking of changes. I never want to see the changes
with red marks all over the documents. I have done as you say below but they
are still there when I reopen the document.

They're not Tracked Changes? If you click the fat blue arrows pointing
left and right in that Ribbon group, do they not take you to the
previous or next change?
