Hotmail account questions

My hotmail inbox online was full so I deleted all of the emails. I thought
that since they we're in my outlook inbox it would be okay. Then when I got
back on outlook they we're gone. Is there anyway to make it where outlook
will only check new email and not sink up?

No. The local pst only mirrors what is on the server. If you want to backup
Hotmail locally then copy the items to a new pst or a folder in your main
pst.
