How can I add fields to a slide or masters?

I would at least need author, date and filename, but if it would be possible
to add any fields that You can use in Word, that would be the best.

Csimbi,
There is no such thing as fields like in Word.
The date can be inserted using the header and footer. The author you can
type yourself in the footer box in the same dialogue.
