Can I offer a word of advice? You really really really (did I say really?)
do NOT want to use PPT to do your webpage. Really. I promise. Really. No.

If you don't want to pay someone to develop a site for you, then at least
purchase an appropriate tool for the job. Front Page will do just fine, and
it's less expensive (and probably has a less steep learning curve) than
Dreamweaver.

Front Page lists at $199 here, but you can probably find it cheaper
elsewhere.

Be sure to hit the "upgrade eligibility" link there to see if maybe you can
save some $$ if you have a product that qualifies you to use the Upgrade
version.

Let me echo Echo's words. Don't use PowerPoint to create a website. It's not
meant for that purpose. I use FrontPage and it was easy to learn and is easy to
use. There's also a good newsgroup if you need help along the way.

No, you go to your local computer store, and purchase the program FrontPage
install it on your computer then create your web page. They also have a
newsgroup where you can get help.

Also, some ISPs (depends on who your service is through) provide web based
tools for building a web page using the space they allocate for you. You
might want to check out their site to see if they do.

Are you only creating a single "web page," as your subject states, or a
whole site? Is it only your logo, graphics and information describing your
business, with an email address and phone? Are you selling a service only?

OR, are you selling alot of different tangible items from your site and need
a shopping cart, et al, or will a direct link from a few items to something
like a PayPal account do? Where are you hosting? An/your ISP that gives free
online space, or someplace more substantial?

Sorry for intruding. I know next to nada about PowerPoint but built many a
site both front and back ends. (Nope, not offering services here.) Depending
upon the above, if you have an eye for design you could get by with
easy-to-use freeware WYSIWYG website software and a simple but effective
graphics program. Too much more to know here without commenting further.

At any rate, if you are advertising your business it's best for the site to
"look" nice, neat and tight. Depending upon what other function(s) the site
serves, you move up from there.
