How can I delete a known recipient from the list?

I accidentally sent a message to the wrong person. Now when I start to type
in an address, this wrong email address is offered by 'auto-complete' instead
of the person I really want to send email to. Is there some way I can get
rid of that address from my known recipients? Is there some way I can empty
out all my known recipients and start over?

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field.

When the list pops-up use your arrow keys to select the recipient and
press DELETE on your keyboard.
