how can I fill only part of the background w/ color

I am trying to create a flyer in Publisher. I put an arc on the page, so it
has two corners that I want filled with color, but I want the rest of the
page to remain white. How can I do that?

Arc's generally do not have corners. Are you saying you want the corners above
the arc filled?
Create a rectangle fill with your color. Position the rectangle to the corners.
Create an oval, fill white, no line, position the oval over the rectangle so all
