How can i get writing to scroll up to show recent news?

Put some "writing" into a textarea. Put "recent news" in the same textarea
(scrolling text box). Make sure you put it UNDER the "writing." And make
sure the textarea is small enough to need a scroll bar.

there were a lot of scrolling news scroller thingies here:
www.scriptocean.com some were free and some were cheap.
(stick with the JavaScript/ flash type rather than the Java applet type)
