How can I import, or save, a .pdf file to a Word document?

I have several lengthy .pdf files that I would like to be able to use to
cut/paste information into Word documents. Nothing I try seems to work. Help?

If the documents are protected against copying, this could prove tricky. PDF
files are not intended to be edited. There are third party applications that
make a fair stab at translating them or worst case, print out and scan
through OCR software.
