How can I make Word 2003 to show pictures immediately

Word 97 and Word 2000 attempt to show pictures immediately when scrolling
pages. Word 2003 only shows pictures the first time, and visibility is lost
when scrolling the page. It sometimes restores after considerable time - very
annoying.

Experience shows that this is usually a combination of an older graphics card
driver, plus too high hardware acceleration.

1. D/l and install the newest graphics card driver from the manufacturer's
website

2. Right-click the Desktop, choose Properties, go to the Settings tab, click
Advanced. On the Troubleshoot tab, lower the graphics acceleration until the
problem improves.
