How can I move a registered version of Office to a new computer?

The mother board on my computer gave up the ghost and it was too expensive to
replace as compared with purchasing a newer computer. I had MS Office 2003
on the original computer. How can I install the program on the new computer
without the security feature in registration with MS seeing it as a second
use of the same copy?

If your copy of Office 2003 is an OEM version that came preinstalled on
your old computer, then you are not allowed to install it on your new
computer.

If you have a retail version of Office 2003 that you purchased
separately from your old computer, then you should be able to install it
on your new computer and activate it online without a problem. If the
activation wizard complains, you can use the telephone activation method
and explain the circumstances to the Microsoft representative.

If it was NOT an OEM version, simply install and use the telephone
method of activation when prompted.
