How can I move an item from one group to another within the same .

In previous versions of Outlook I could drag an item from one group within a
folder to another group within the same folder. In doing so the Subject
would change to reflect the new group. I don't seem to be able to do this
with Outlook 2003.

Changiing the subject by dragging between groups is simply broken in Outlook
2003.

Thanks <g>. Is there a plan to fix it?

Microsoft does not reveal what issues plans to fix in the next service pack.

Hi, I am using Outlook 2007 Enterprise Edition. Is this feature working in
Outlook 2007? I mean can I move one item from one Subject to another Subject?

Thanks.

No. It's still broken. you can edit the subject by typing over the
existing subject.

In custom views of public folders it is possible to move an item from one
group to another within the folder by dragging & dropping. In my case I want
to prevent that because I group by data, which I do not want to have changed
in the view. Do you know, how to make a custom view Read-Only?
