How can I retrieve a permanently deleted message?

Question is pretty much in the subject line. I know it can be done,
just don't know how. I am using MW XP 2002 SP2

Appreciate you help.

Assuming you're connected to an Exchange Server, there may be hope. The
Exchange Server may not be configured to delete and flush emails right away
even though your client (Outlook) shows that it is gone. The email admin can
try to recover it. Also, assuming the Exchange Server is backed up, the email
can be retrieved from there. I don't think these are quick and easy to do but
it doesn't hurt to try.

My impression was that the Recover Deleted Items feature of Exchange did not
work on permanently deleted items (i.e., items NOT deleted through the
Deleted Items folder), but I could be mistaken. Roady may know for sure.

Spammers that need to puke their wares in newsgroups are proffering
overpriced software that you don't want.
