How can I successfully install Office 2003 Service Pack 1?

I have Office 2003 Professional, working on Windows XP. I have attempted to
install Office 2003 Service Pack 1. Although I have downloaded the update, I
have been unable to successfully install the update. I have looked at the
suggested possible problems, but none of these apply. I would therefore be
grateful if anyone has any ideas to help. Thank you.

Tomasso4u,
Just a suggestion; if you are using Windows XP SP2 then trying to apply the
update to Office could be your source of error on install of SP1. On service
work, we follow an upgrade release path for Office & Windows and rarely have
a problem applying service packs. Someone else may have a better solution for
you.
