How can Visio automatically build a diagram of a file structure

Can Visio generate (dynamically) a graphical representation of files within a
directory structure?

Ideally, I would like to place some code in a designated set of files for
display in Visio. When the Visio template is opened, each file in the
directory gets searched for the predefined code. The files that contain this
code dynamically populate the diagram.

Can XML Web Service Integration achieve this task, or is there another
solution?
