What we usually do is create a custom text field called "Leader". You
could call it "Responsible Person".

Menu: Tools/Customise/Fields... Create a custom field there. Click the
"help" button to get full instructions. Insert that new field as a new
column in your tables.

I'm not sure from your post whether you have actually assigned
resources to the tasks or whether in addition to the assigned
resources, you want to add additional data. I'm going with the
assumption that you have actually assigned resources, but want to
add a "team leader" field who may supervise the assigned resources.

In addition to Rob's reply, there is a built in task Text field
named "Contact" that you could add to a task table.

If you want to make the "Contact" field data show in the Gantt
chart next to a bar, choose Format > Bar Styles. Select the
"task" bar, click the Text tab in the lower portion of the dialog
window. Click the default value Resource Names and select
Contact from the list.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie -

I want to use contact also. Have resources named as PM, BA, etc.. Want to add a contact field to filter a responsible resource for leadership reporting. I'm not certain about your instructions. Where are you starting from? I want to make sure I'm in the same view, etc.

Thank you,

R
