How can you know that Updates for Office loaded correctly. Use 56.

Microsoft Office Software 2002 was installed by computer builder. I do not
have CD. I've been having problems of software locking up. Sent Error
message, got return suggestion to go to Office Updates, Check for Updates and
download the updages. I did as instructed, but have a 56K modem and it took 6
to 7 hours. I have a dial up connection to Internet. I tried downloading 3
different times. Last time, late at night & I went to bed. In the morning my
computer was back to DeskTop. How can I determine for sure if the Updates
really did download as they should have?

Sam,
Control Panel, add/remove sodtware. Make shure "show updates" box is checked
on top of screen. Scrool thru the list.

Sam, I see you replied but did not see any comment. Did you have something to
say. Did the "Control Panel" thing work for you?
