Confused about comps

I wrote something in a word doc, saved it to my documents and I'm trying to
change it into a JPG or PNG so I upload the text image to something i'm
making on the internet.

Have you tried bringing up your doc -- increasing the magnification if
necessary -- and then doing a screen capture? You could then crop the
picture as needed.

You could also copy something in Word, and then paste it into some graphics
program (... Paint, if you don't have something better handy).

For really good, high-resolution results, you could print and choose the
"Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" as the printer.
That'll give you a TIF file that you could then open in a graphics program,
change the resolution if necessary, and save as JPG or PNG.
