How do I "activate" a computer that is already set-up as default?

I am trying to print but getting a message that printer is not activated,
error code 20. The printer is already set-up and ready to go, and it is able
to print a test page. What do I do?

I take it that you are trying to print this out of word yes?
Make sure that when you do go to print that you have selected the proper
printer from the printer options. I will get back to you on more.
What kind of printer is it?
