How do I activate Office on a new computer?

Recently, my computer crashed, so they wiped my entire hard drive. However,
when I went to go and try to reinstall Office it said that it had been
registered on another computer already and the phone number it gave me to
activate by phone is not working. How can I activate it easily and free?

Since you already know that you have a use for Office, you've already "test
drove" the product, and you know that the trial is only good for 60 or 90
days - maybe it's time to spend the money and get the full version.
