how do I add a vertical scroll bar to a text box in powerpoint?

If you are using the textbox from the Control Toolbox toolbar.
Right click the text box and choose Properties, change the defaults of
MultiLine to True and change the scrollbars to fmScrollbarsVertical in
the Properties.

Vertical scrollbar shows up automatically when text exceeds the
textbox that is viewable.

Just FYI: The control tools won't run on a MAC, but they do work wonderfully
on the Windows side.
