How do I assign a unique task ID in Project which doesn't change

I'm looking for an automatic unique identifier for entries in the plan that
doesn't change as the task/activity moves in the plan. Both ID's & WBS's
change as the task moves.

Insert the Unique ID field. The field is as you describe.
