I respect your comments about copyrighting, but I was looking for an
answer
that would tell me how I may disable users from copying our logo when
You must have missed the following:
"It can be copied" means that it is not possible to disable users from
copying your logo. Any of the various amateur tricks that are being employed
on web sites operated by inexperienced developers only make your site appear
more amateurish. It drives users away from your web site. And it doesn't
protect anything.
There probably is no way of disabling someone from
using the PrintScreen to copy it or making a hardcopy to scan the logo, but
is there a way to disable "Save Picture As" when you right click on the
logo?
[Okay, Kevin, calm down. I know you're sick of saying these things over and
over for 7 years, but he doesn't know anything about that, so be kind] John,
I'm sure you've given this a lot of thought, and come up with a couple of
different ways to copy an image from a web page. But believe it or not,
millions of others have spent years on the same problem, and there are a
dozen or more ways to copy images from a web page, and even download your
entire web site, images and all. FrontPage can do that, in fact. It's called
Importing a web site. Maintains the folder hierarchy and everything. I could
have every last image (and every last jot and tittle of your HTML) in your
web site on my computer in a matter of minutes.
So, let's say that this problem is a hulking brute coming after you. You
want to stop him. Do you think you will stop him by taking away his shoes?
That is essentially what disabling right-clicking would do. Nothing is going
to stop this brute. Time to start moving in the opposite direction!
